The MHS baccalaureate service was held Sunday evening and student remarks were provided by senior Trinity Muse. Audience members also heard parent remarks from Karen McMinn and a performance by the MHS Concert Choir. Thank you Harmony Grove Baptist Church for hosting this year's event.

How do you prepare fifth graders for their math SOL? You host a Math Bootcamp! Skill Sargent, Ms. Nuske (5th grade teacher), was joined by our JROTC Senior Army Instructor, SGM (RET) Howard, students in our JROTC program, Staff Sergeant Locas, and members of the Gloucester Army Recruiting Center, which included one of our MHS grads, Private First Class Titus, to take our students through drills that practiced their math skills!

SCW TSA (Technology Student Association) students participated in the the state competition, Technosphere, in Hampton, VA from May 2-5, 2024. They also had the opportunity to tour the Nauticus Maritime Discovery Center and USS Wisconsin Battleship and Museum. They did an outstanding job in their competitions. Congratulations to all who participated. Finalist results are as follows: Bella Bagby placed 3rd in Essays on Technology. Bella Bagby was a top 10 finalist in Promotional Marketing. In Dragster: Kyla Blazek, Ford Hall, and Jacob Smith were all top 10 finalists. Bentley Eppihimer placed 3rd Mason Fochtman placed 2nd Claire Dise placed 1st The team of Mason Fochtman, Austin Whitaker, Ford Hall, Bentley Eppihimer were a top 10 finalist in Junior Solar Sprint. In Structural Engineering: The team of Bentley Eppihimer and Xavier Morning were a top 10 finalist The team of Chase Watson and Jayden Tang placed 3rd The team of Claire Dise and Kaleigh Smith placed 2nd Caesar Gresham was a semifinalist in Career Prep. Chase Watson received the Paul M. Johnson award for the longest glider flight at the competition. Chase Watson was a top ten finalist in CAD Foundations. The team of Xavier Morning and Jayden Tang were a top 10 finalist in Challenging Technology Issues. The team of Joshua Huntley, Jayden Tang, and Chase Watson were a top 10 finalist in Video Game Design. The team of Weston Wolfrey, Braydon Sommers, and Lian Juarez placed 2nd in System Control Technology.
